The largest market we track by volume is a grim one. "Will the U.S. invade Iran before 2027?" on Polymarket has drawn $74,662,493 in trading and sits at 15¢, with 73 days left before it closes. Traders see roughly a one-in-seven chance, which is high enough to take seriously and low enough that most money is betting against it.
What stands out is the company it keeps. The next four markets by volume are all longshots trading at 1¢: Jesus Christ returning before 2027, LeBron James winning the 2028 presidency, and Oprah Winfrey or Bernie Sanders taking the 2028 Democratic nomination. Each has drawn more than $52 million, yet none is priced as a plausible outcome. Big volume on a 1¢ contract mostly reflects traders parking capital on "no" and collecting a small, slow return, especially on the 2028 markets with 750 days to run.
That makes the Iran contract the only top-volume market where the price is actually doing work. Across 465 tracked markets on Kalshi, Polymarket and Limitless, it is the clearest place where serious money disagrees about a live geopolitical question.
