Iran Invasion Odds Hold at 16 Cents With 70 Days Left

The largest pool of money in our tracker right now sits on a grim question: "Will the U.S. invade Iran before 2027?" On Polymarket it trades at 16 cents with $75,048,445 in volume, and it closes in 70 days. Sixteen cents says traders see roughly a one-in-six chance, which is high enough to matter for anyone pricing oil, defense stocks or geopolitical risk.

What stands out is the company it keeps. The next four markets by volume are all longshots priced at 1 cent: the return of Jesus Christ before 2027, LeBron James winning the 2028 presidency, and Oprah Winfrey or Bernie Sanders taking the 2028 Democratic nomination. Each has drawn more than $52 million, yet none carries meaningful odds. The 2028 contracts also have 747 days to run, so much of that money is simply parked.

That gap is the useful signal. Longshot volume often reflects cheap contracts churning, or traders collecting small yields on near-certain "No" outcomes. The Iran market is different; at 16 cents, genuine disagreement is being priced, and the clock is short.

Watch whether the Iran contract moves off 16 cents as its 70-day window narrows.
